Yeah the need to be cut down for aftermarket wheels. Just heavily deburr the ends to not damage the pack nut when fitting it. Always use a new nut as well.

Can do them individualy if only doing axles. Same amount of work either side.

Need a deep 36mm socket

I haven't heard a lot about people cutting down their driveshafts for wheels... might need to do this at some point.
