Or peoples experience using this exact gate on a barra. Not sure if its possiboy too small for the 4ltr barra? Running a 3584RS 1.21 rear. Trying to ramp in boost as it is too aggressive, so put a lower psi spring like a 7 or 10 and the boost will creep to 18-20psi pretty quickly. I run a haltech barra plug n play and am in open loop. Cheers Zac

Disconnect the plumb back, let it scream for a single run and work out if it still creeps that turbo is going to come on late anyway and want to be in the early 20’s PSI wise ultimately for maximum efficiency Edited 13/08/19 11:33 PM by JETURBO
Zlat347 Member 56 Member For: 6y 3d Posted 13/08/19 11:47 PM Author Share Posted 13/08/19 11:47 PM Its currently setup as screamer pipe so open. What I did just notice looking at it, on the top cap of wastegate there is 2 ports to vent to atmosphere, one port had a bung in it and otherside was open... I wonder if that was restricting the diaphram from opening fully?

Being on E85 you can throw some bigger numbers to see if this helps and has a dramatic effect being the fact your rear housing is so big it’s all going to come on in a big rush towards the end anyway
Zlat347 Member 56 Member For: 6y 3d Posted 14/08/19 10:55 AM Author Share Posted 14/08/19 10:55 AM Ill have to have a look at timing, around the 14 mark from.memory at wot. My lines are exactly lile your picture As I was going through it I did also find the top braided line fitting loose that goes to the wastegate....not sure if air would have leaked or if this would impact it? Could this be causing wastegate boost creep? Second picture is with torch inside pipe showing hole

k31th less WHY; more WOT Site Developer 28,302 Member For: 16y 14d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 22/08/19 12:55 PM Share Posted 22/08/19 12:55 PM that's about right for an external gate... the 14psi spring is obviously a bit stronger than it's rating, but the others are close enough to within spec.
