Hey guys, I've got a stock BF XR6 turbo.. lookin for a bit more oomph.. just wondering what kind of power gains I could see with bigger injectors, intercooler and tune? Also, would you recommend 1000cc injectors? Also any info on monaza coolers.. are they any good? Thanks 😁

monaza isn't even a real, but I'm sure you mean monza and they aren't worth buying at all as a typhoon intercooler is about as good (not very good).

injectors and tune give you the biggest bang for buck, add a catalytic convertor to that shopping list and you can make some decent gains. intercooler is only useful if you want to make that power multiple times over and over. 1000cc is overkill if all you're doing is one basic stage of mods. Get some 42lb injectors and they'll be good for up to a bit over 300rwkw.

Cheers for the quick response.. so even just put a highflow cat in and injectors with a tune will be a considerable power gain.. 42lbs are they 450cc? Would the monza do a better service than the stock bf xr6t intercooler or nah? Cheers.

yeah, 42lb/hr is about 440cc/min or so.

nah no point paying money for a monza cooler.

oh, forgot to say you'll need to upgrade your fuel pump, too.

~$150 for a replacement fuel pump

~$200 for some 42lb injectors (price varies a bit)

~$500 for a catalytic convertor

~$1000-2000 for a quality tune :)

then comes the addiction for more power, usually :)

most definitely. Turns a car from about 180rwkw to around 300rwkw, assuming the rest of the car is in relatively good working condition :)

good luck with it all :spoton:

Of course they have to be able to fit a BA/F XR6T in your case, so you can't just buy "generic" injectors unless they're the type that fit the vehicle. Ask the seller if they'll fit and if they don't know, don't buy them off that seller.
