Sold my FG and am looking at buying a BA Turbo Ute but cautious about how many K's is too many to avoid forever puttin my hand in my pocket.

Seen a few with between 150-180,000 but wonder if this is too risky.

Any advice would be helpful

Cheers

Mike

My sedan has 170,000 only issue I had was the turbo but the car had over 300rwkws in it! Service history and general appearance will explain alot about the life expectancy. Are you going to mod it?

Motors can take plenty of abuse, as long as they're kept up with oil the motor should be sweet, its the rest of the car you've got to worry about. An FG model shouldn't be too much to worry about, BA-BF you've got to start looking at swapping out plenty of suspension components, bushes etc.

Hey Guys,

Looking to buy my first Ford, can get my hands on an 06 BFII F6 or an FGXR6T for about the same price. KW's are the same at 270 but whats the better car, I seem to be leaning towards the FPV for looks and trim, your thoughts?

Same turbo in both, GT3582r.

BA mkII had the Tremec T56 6 speed manual gearbox (same one as the BFs). Basically the same car as a BF mkI except for the small increase in power and different front bumper bar.

If you're keeping stock power levels it shouldn't be a really big issue.

BA mkII onwards had the auto light feature.

The 4 speed BTR can be built fairly tough if you have a couple grand to throw at it. Depends on goals really as usual.
