Share Posted 16/04/19 02:02 AM Posted 16/04/19 02:02 AM Share Hi, have G6ET with 355rwkw, currently have a full xforce system with the twin 2.5” pipes. Other mods include a Walbro 400, PW stage 1 intercooler, 1000cc injectors, GTX3582 gen 2 with flapper mod and porting etc. Had hoped for more kw from the recent tune, a couple people have suggested that single exhaust 4” system would help, thoughts? Reluctant to change the exhaust unless it’ll make a difference, wasn’t cheap to buy being a full stainless one. Thanks
Share Posted 16/04/19 02:17 AM (edited) Posted 16/04/19 02:17 AM Share instead of me writing a big spill, click here instead. There is some good information and will get you in the right direction. You also have to take other things into account, that affect power, like temps on the day, dyno etc. There are gains to be had by going to a 4" of course and many equations to play with to calculate, as well as pros/cons of going bigger like, it will be louder, likely hang lower etc etc Edited 16/04/19 02:26 AM by MBAF
Share Posted 16/04/19 02:40 AM Posted 16/04/19 02:40 AM Share That link reckons a twin 2.5 system only supports 463hp at the crank. On this forum we've seen a twin 2.5 system support more than 670hp at the wheels. Op, post your dyno sheet so we've got more of an idea what's going on.
Share Posted 16/04/19 02:54 AM Posted 16/04/19 02:54 AM Share yeah that's not taking into account variables or forced induction. VE on a 2.5" twin setup has flow similar to a single 3.5" (again depending on the setup in question) for all we know currently this could be a sub frame back 2.5" and not full system, plenty of variables here

Share Posted 16/04/19 03:01 AM Posted 16/04/19 03:01 AM Share but "full" doesn't necessarily mean full
Share Posted 16/04/19 03:04 AM Posted 16/04/19 03:04 AM Share Lol perhaps not. I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it.
Share Posted 16/04/19 03:16 AM (edited) Posted 16/04/19 03:16 AM Share 403rwkw 98 / 438rwkw e85 with twin 2.5" xforce here, same injectors, pump and intercooler. Fuel setup (no surge) and gt3540 were the next limitation not exhaust Unless a sedan version doesn't flow as well as a ute but doubt it @karlp2 was there some query about your tuner....jet had a few comments iirc lol 4" dump and cat to clarify Edited 16/04/19 03:19 AM by camo86T
Author Share Posted 16/04/19 03:30 AM Posted 16/04/19 03:30 AM Share Appreciate your feedback. Yes I’m looking at other tuner options, nothing really jumping out at me with the rep of tuners here

Share Posted 16/04/19 11:02 AM Posted 16/04/19 11:02 AM Share theres no one over there good enough to learn from either we are very lucky in aus to have great tuners!
Share Posted 16/04/19 11:04 AM Posted 16/04/19 11:04 AM Share I don't know why Robby and the other Rips boys haven't picked up on it. Maybe they wanna stick to Rb's?
Share Posted 16/04/19 11:50 AM Posted 16/04/19 11:50 AM Share 4 inch dump and cat to twin 2 1/2 inch X force, no issues here running 19psi street tune and max of 22psi power tune.

Share Posted 16/04/19 12:06 PM Posted 16/04/19 12:06 PM Share Haha something silly, I highly doubt its reading was accurate...
Share Posted 16/04/19 12:14 PM Posted 16/04/19 12:14 PM Share If it was around the 620whp mark that'd be believable. If it had wheelspin then it'd throw it out.
Share Posted 16/04/19 12:23 PM Posted 16/04/19 12:23 PM Share No wheel spin, I had the 275s on. Log says 889hp @ crank on 19psi Take 30% for drivetrain loss (roughly) is 622rwhp
Share Posted 16/04/19 12:33 PM Posted 16/04/19 12:33 PM Share Dunno about 889 crank but 430 to 450rwkw should be on the money with your setup which is very similar (minus built low comp motor) to op's.
Share Posted 16/04/19 12:34 PM Posted 16/04/19 12:34 PM Share Just need E85 and PCMtec... Oh and 3rd gear back haha 622whp is roughly 460rwkw, it's close.

Did you change anything to get more power?
Author Share Posted 06/01/21 10:46 AM Posted 06/01/21 10:46 AM Share There was a intake piping. Zane of Maxx Performance picked it up when retuning it for me. He didn’t do the original tune.
