How to remove zf 6 speed

Hey guys I have a bf turbo with a zf 

I am swapping over the box as it’s faulty 

I know the basics like remove starter undoing of converter ect

I was wondering if there is a how to for removal/install just for a bit of help/guildline if there’s not I will take pictures along the way when I do mine.

Removing the starter motor and undoing coverter bolts from the starter motor hole is the hardest part, the rest is easy typical bell housing bolts and rear trans mount bolts from the sub floor, remove shifter link and heat exchanger then tailshaft out and away she goes mate ;)

Removing an auto box has been the same for the past 70+ years. The only extra bit is the wiring loom.

 

Here's a starter removal tip; use some creative visualisation and socket extensions to reach the top fastener.

jack up both ends of the car and there's room... can't imagine there'd be enough room on just ramps, but it could slide out the front once it's lowered, I guess.

It’s a tall box mate and ramps only might not cut it, this has been an issue with other cars when I was much younger and not having a hoist to use 

 

maybe some big HD tall ramps will do it
