Are these stretched?

Hi all.

I have 8x20" rims and have 245/35 tyres round.

I am about to buy some new fronts tires and will probably just get the same size again, but for the rears, I wonder if I can go wider on the current 8" rims?

The current set looks slightly streteched at the moment to me. But maybe I don't know what I'm talking about?

yeah, those tyres are definitely stretched, but not massively so and you can definitely get more 245/35's to go with your wheels. A 255 will also fit, but not really worth upgrading to.

245 is the widest for 8 inch rim. Those aren't 8 inch rims
That's what I thought. Inside the rim it says 8x20" though.
I wonder if the cheap tyres that are on it are not really 245's as they say they are. Cavallis. Heard of them on a car? Nope. Me neither haha. They were on the car when I got it.

yeah, sometimes different tyres from different manufacturers are nowhere near the indicated size in width (or over it)... it varies a bit.

It's true. I've lined up several 235 and 245 tyres together, not on rims, and there have been several different heights, including a 234 and 245 being the same.

So now I'm undecided.
I can only afford to get 2 tyres before my track day. I have 2 with half tread on the car at the moment and 2 that need to be replaced.
Do I put brand new tyres on the front and put the lesser quality half worn ones on the rear, or the other way around?
