listen to the virtual barber shop

We both tried it with the previously captioned headphones. It was pretty cool.

Turn on "Windows Sonic" (right click on volume icon in task bar - Spatial Sound)

Gives a virtualised surround effect to the headphone audio - makes the sound seem as if it's coming from outside the headphones

Similar to the binaural effect on the Barber Shop

I used to sell Wharfedale at the HiFi shop when I worked there.

scored today on Gumtree (again)

got a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.5's and a Wharfedale SW 150 sub for $225

seller even threw in a Sony DVD player

not even close to your setup @.Stripes. , but I'm loving it especially the sub

way better than the Yamaha sub I had

Your setup didn't put you into financial stress like mine has, though 😂

Strangely, I agree with double R...time for TV shopping. 65" Samsung QLED - make it happen 😉

That's the sucky thing about having finite money - priorities outweight desires so often. I'd love to upgrade some more gear and get a new kitchen/laundy/bathrooms/carpet...but will have to do something with my alfresco and patio before next summer so the dog doesn't cook outside while we're at work...😐

Yes, that does suck...almost as much as uni assignments. As good an excuse to drink as any though, I guess...

So I just got back from another gumtree expedition

Long story short

Mrs BCB hated the colour of the 9.1's

House sitter had an altercation with one

I'm a bit OCD and couldn't live with the damage

Picked up a pair of pristine 8.2's for $75

BTW, Mrs BCB loves the 8.2's

Winning

I got a Hisense 65" 4K for family room a couple months ago after checking out my brother in law's and being blown away...

sweet unit. the internet side of things is crap on all tellies I think, but a good 4K streamer sorts that right out :ok:

no issues so far

Get a fetch box. Once it has powered on from the wall, start times are super quick and netflix etc loads a million times quicker than a telly. You can get the cheap one for about $150 or the 1TB version for $450ish.

Well worth it imo. My tv sucked massive donkey balls for ages trying to use netflix but those frustrations are gone with the fetch boxes.

The fetch mini does everything the fetch mighty does, except record. You can hire and buy movies etc too. Have a sus if you haven't already.

I've got the 4k netflix but a 1080p tv. I just got it so we can have a few people watching on different devices at once.
