Report post #1 Posted 03/02/19 02:14 AM Hi Guys, Yesterday evening I noticed when accelerating under heavy load in 1st/2nd Gear the steering wheel would wobble and I could feel the a vibration through the car. At the time I thought it was just the road surface and didn't take much notice of it, now every time I accelerate under heavy load through 1st-3rd the same thing happens and either I've never noticed it before or it's literally just happened. Anyway just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and what was done to rectify it? I'm also going to book it back into the dealer tomorrow so they can have a look at it. Thanks in advance for your replies! Go to top
Report post #2 Posted 03/02/19 02:25 AM it never happens except when accelerating under heavy loads (e.g. low revs in 4th+ gear)? Go to top
Report post #3 Posted 03/02/19 02:56 AM Just went for a quick drive, nothing in 4-6. Its constant through the whole rev range however the higher the gear the less noticeable it is Go to top
Report post #4 Posted 03/02/19 03:10 AM probably to do with how much torque is actually transmitted to the driveline past the gearbox, then, which includes the centre-bearing, tailshaft mount to diff, differential internals, halfshafts and associated CV joints.
