Conversion out of car

I'm looking to do a build with a engine out side of my car so I can continue to drive mine on the daily looking to get 800+hp besides the obvious Bolt on turbo is there a whole lot of difference between the n/a engine compared to the turbo am I better off modding up a factory turbo engine, looking to build it pretty much from the bottom up

If you're going to be building the engine anyway, you may as well just get an N/A engine as it's cheap, then chuck in the relevant quality bits you want for the desired power level, as the "block" itself is the same. Then all you need to do is get a turbo sump (or modify the N/A one to suit the oil pump and turbo oil drain) and get the valve springs and valves from a turbo engine for the head.
