El Andrew Gold Donating Members 2,013 Member For: 8y 11m 6d Gender: Male Location: Canberra ACT Posted 15/11/18 05:57 AM Share Posted 15/11/18 05:57 AM For those of you who have replaced injectors in an FG, is it necessary to remove the oetiker clamps that hold the fuel supply and return lines to the rail in order to get the rail off far enough to remove the injectors? Went to do the job last night but with limited time. Once I saw those clamps I bailed - they look like they are in a pretty difficult position to get to and in my case the loop part of the clamp was around the back. On further thought today, I also wonder if removing the quick connect from the lines under the car would let the rail move enough, rather than undoing the rail end of the fuel lines. Gold Donating Members 23,708 Member For: 15y 9m 26d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 15/11/18 07:47 AM Share Posted 15/11/18 07:47 AM Remove TB pipe, remove TB undo x4 8mm fuel rail bolts leave rail lines as is pull rail up and all x6 injectors will come up out of the intake ports remove injectors, install injectors insert all x6 into intake port bolt down and away you go make sure all old bottom and top O rings stay attached to old injectors use Inox spray to lubricate the new injector O rings make sure injector position clips go back on correctly scale injectors and tune to suit should take literally 20 minutes to R&R injectors on a FG turbo 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
