The stock cams are just a little small I reckon, something with a 6500 redline would of been nice with good mid range. If you do the cams get the head a mild port as well. Good gains then with a small cam upgrade. Headsense in Brisbane have got good results with this.

Yeah that’s what I’ve read else where as well, but what would I spend my money on? I would like to make 500kw at the rears. I want something a little different, everyone that mods a xr t bolts on a bigger turbo and goes ethanol, another reason wanted cans don’t see many around with them

@OZYWALKER

do you still run standard converter?

Is the car a bit harder to cruise around and what is the idle like? Would you recommend them after your own experience with them

My logs show the stock cams falling over at about 5000rpm. I have taken it to 6700rpm in first and second but in the higher gears there is no point revving past 5500rpm on stock cams.

Puff.  There is a lot more to it than that.   Stock cams can still make power up to 7k.  You just need the knowledgeable tuner.

No.

Edit: Lol sorry, that was a low effort post. I know there is a lot more to it but you can only explain so much on a forum post without writing a novel. I'll settle for a maybe as there are plenty of variables.
