Quite interested in this thread atm as I'm looking for a solution for mine before the 42 goes on. I was recently looking at the new Process West sepr8r cans they've developed.

They're a true scrubber with washable element and also have a pressure release valve and drain. Only issue for me is the fact they're -8 inlet/outlet only as well as only one inlet...

Either way, looks like a nicely developed kit that would definitely keep the fuzz happy!

Speaking to AMC Performance about my catch can solution. They tell me they did back to back testing on a 1000hp monster running 9.2 1/4 mile. -6 is to small (roughly OEM) -8 is ok as tested on the monster 1000hp car -10 is best. Both -8 and -10 tests were done in 3 port pumb back and vent to atmo setups.

-8 with  baffling / a filtration system could be a bit small, depending on how much and how long the air is slowed down.

-10 setup vent to atmo is the preferred solution based on my research. Dion Amato Dyno Mite Performance tells me the barra is not a huge breather engine, and even the most basic setup catch can solutions seem to work ok.

hope this helps

Plumbing is correct.  Is the catch can baffled ?

Its illegal to vent the can to atmosphere.

You can run both breather and PCV to the can.  It just cant be plumbed back in. It must vent through the can top filter.

Can has filter on top but I have plugged it so it no longer breaths through filter

will removing pcm and vacuum effect idle??

So currently have 1 breather to catch can and from there to turbo side intake

wondering should I connect both breather and vacuum pvc to catch can and then what do I do about intake connection? Just block it? Or get a T piece adapter so both breathers connect to catch can and catch can still runs to turbo side intake?

Also what do mean mean by baffled??!

And what effect does not having vacuum connect to pvc valve at rear?

I have a Herrod oil breather / separator, but the problem is, I don't know what it looks like or what it does. All I know is, it is the pressure from the engine passing through the head and capturing it before it vents to the atmosphere. And also before it clogs your plenum. That's what there used for.  I THINK.

Also, it will stop your oil galleries from becoming blocked. That = destroyed engine.

Oil galleries are just the little bits and pieces that oil has to flow through.

Its like a labyrinth in side your motor. A maze, in other words.

I think I might be talking sh*t.
