Hi all. Wondering if anyone can cofirm the differences between the tr6060 turbo and n/a 6spd gearboxes. Have read they are the same apart from first gear ratio. Was also told from the wrecker selling the na box that flywheel and clutch also differ.

Thanks

Yes, the flywheel and clutch differ due to the extra torque handling requirements of the turbo... but as far as I know, the gear ratio is the same from turbo to N/A due to having the same diff ratio.

I'm pretty sure that that's correct. Just give mal-wood a call to be 100% sure, as I'm no transmission mechanic :)

Reviving an old thread,

Found this doing some research. Turbo models have a 3.73 lsd diff, not sure about non turbo. I wonder how a non turbo tr6060 would go with a BA 3.46 lsd?e9a9c9228f9d25b57166414279a351ac.jpg

Ill update this thread as ive been hunting for a tr6060 also and considered the Na fg box.

I sent Mal an email about the FG na vs FG turbo gearbox's and this was his response.

"The NA TR6060 is rated at a low 390 NM of Engine Torque and the Turbo TR6060 is rated at 520 NM of Engine Torque, these are very conservative ratings."

The tr6060 ratios heavily dictate the torque ratings.
As the FG na has a super low ratio in first gear it's down rated so much.

The fact is you can never build any boost in first/second anyway so it doesn't matter

you can get plenty in 2nd... first goes by very quickly but you get plenty of boost for a fraction of a second haha
