:Welcome2FordXR6t:

Depends on the condition of a BA, as it has a lot of weak(er) components as compared to later models...

what's your budget and what's the condition of the car?

Have a read of this thread (even though it's for FG's, it has some good advice) ->

The motor is in good condition, 180,000kms gearbox is currently getting replaced as was buggered, new radiator hoses etc. recently had a major service (oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air fiter etc)

ive only owned the car for a few weeks.

im not looking to get insane power just something that's quick off the line.

Havnt really thought of a budget yet just thought id see what my options are and what sort of money I would be looking at

Easiest power adders are injectors, fuel pump, cat and tune. Can get you to around 300rwkw for $2-5k, but this is pushing the gearbox on a BA, normally. It won't make that power repeatedly, either, due to the extra boost heat soaking the stock intercooler quickly.

Just a custom dyno tune is the best way to get some power for little money ~ $1-1.5k.

the stock one is fine up to around high 200's to low 300's, so if you're not going higher than that, then don't worry about it :)

None of the options for 350rwkw+ are even remotely close to cheap.

walbro 255lph is a good pump for reasonably cheap and is drop-in.

injectors you can go bosch 968's (42lb'ers) for relatively cheap (tuner to install these before tuning)

cat is a matter of going to your local exhaust shop and getting a 100cell cat cut and shut.

tune is a matter of choosing the right tuner. it's worth driving to the south-east suburbs of Melbourne to find a good quality tuner (have a read of this thread to decide on one -> http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/82345-recommended-tuner-workshop-victoria/)
