Exhaust swap, will I need tune

hey just got xr6t 11 75ks, got a xforce stainless 3 1/2inch catback and venom cat, just enquiring if I install will I need to tune straight away?

will it boost spike? how long can I drive for be4 tune? can I still rape it or just take it easy till tune??

you can still drive it, just keep it off boost until you tune it. Changing the cat on an XR6T means you need to tune it :spoton::Welcome2FordXR6t:

injectors, cat(+cat-back), intake piping and tune is what you'll want for first stage of simple mods for your car :) have fun :spoton:

I just got my car tuned with injectors put in... 10psi running great....

Just done a long drive  and engine light has come on... any suggestions?

hmmm you better go abuse ya tuner mate.

 

where do you live?

 

could be something simple or could be bad like timing chain skipped a tooth or something.

 

do you have a tune box (xcal)? these can be used to read the fault codes on the ECU.

Ahh live on gold coast qld.

Its not missing a beat running fine.

I just got a flash tune via I think either xcal or hp tuners.

 

Sounds like ill give tuners a ring or find someone that can view fault code.

 

Still have to drive 200k home.
