Got this list from another forum when looking up what rims are a copy of another, may be of interest.

Apologies if there's already a similar thread, I couldn't find one on here when I did a quick search.

Any others comparisons post them up.

If it's not obvious, copy on the left, genuine on the right

This is an awesome list.
I don't blame people going for a cheaper option but this can show people who aren't sure about their wheels or wheels they're buying the level of quality they're buying.

As much as they are copies a lot of the "copied wheels" are made to jap wheel standards so are of very good quality but are a lot more affordable than the big names.

I've found that most of the copies eg Rota are made to high standards but usually have a lower weight rating than the originals.

Yeh rotas - and probably others - are made to JWL and VIA standards so they're a decent wheel in their own right.

If nothing else the list gives an alternative if you're after a particular style of wheel.

Just wondering if there is any advantage running Ford factory rims vs Manufactured Rims (not necessarily factory copies). Apart from the price (which can be extremely expensive) are the genuine factory rims the best option?

Not if they are FORD, they are cheap and nasty cast wheels. Holdon commmodore use forged rims on there better models. Forged rims are money well spent.

I am looking at getting some MRR design rims. They give you pretty much any offset, centre hub dia, PCD you want. Basically a custom rim to your specs and they do some Forged Roll formed rims for around 3k. Not a fan of jap rims cause you got to work around jap offsets and centre hub rings which I hate. The MRR FS1 and FS2 are not too bad.
