Not on that turbo it didn't. It lasted for a few years at 18 to 20 psi with various configurations.

It never blew up so to speak. It bent a couple of rods and cracked a couple of pistons after it did a track day at 22 psi on e85 with a gen2 gtx35r, full turbo back exhaust etc etc.

It was still lighting up 275 slicks even in it's broken state by rolling on the throttle at over 100kph with no brake.

So with the gtx wheel it would go better than with a gt35r wheel wouldn't it? And it would be a lot cheaper than a 35r supercore.

Damn that must have had some power

Is your zf built? Has it launched?

Lunched

Yeah it'll be better by about 10 to 15% or so. As far as price goes, you'll need to work out what you already have and what your local guy wants to put it all together.

I'd say it'd be the same if you didn't already have the comp cover but you'll need to research that yourself.

No not built and was still shifting fine when the motor let go. It was just tuned (with what hp tuners could do then) and after 3 years of abuse it was getting to the point where it would have needed a rebuild to hold the e85 power. What goes into a rebuild isn't necessarily based on power output but also the lifespan of the trans. They wear bushes out on stock power.

Unless you're going for a certain higher power range, then there's just no point in upgrading those parts. You can put a billet 11 bladed GTX style wheel if you want, which will spool faster (supposedly) while making a little less noise.

Ahhhh!

Fu*k that.... The noise is half the fun

Yeah nah it's not that great. Gen2 gtx35 though a 4 inch intake is basically whistling it's arse off non stop.

You get looked at even when driving normally.

Lol I should have said when you drive at all....

You drive gently, it whistles. #jetcar

You'd probably get looked at as much for driving slowly as you would for it spooling.
