It's not ideal to connect it there. Disconnect that line (just reconnect the front of the turbo and the actuator hoses back directly to the boost control solenoid) and move the t-piece to between the intake manifold and the BOV.This should get you the correct pressure location for actual boost pressure. It's possible that the gauge is stuffed, too, if it's currently getting pressure but not showing anything on the gauge.

Yes. Or you can take the hose (if it's long enough) and take the two connected ends (that aren't on the T-piece) and just connect one hose to both of those spots.

what state are you from we can point you to a recommended tuner to give it a once over. 

 

btw if its tuned you chould have a xcal device unless they used Hp tuners

I recommend getting the Dremel out and cutting some holes in the bottom part of your air box. 

Usually a rectangle hole across the front of the bottom half which sits behind the headlight. You'll notice a little bit more with it opened up.
