New tune required?

Hey guys.. first post here. Own a 2010 xr6t.

 

So I've just bought a new plazmaman stage 1 intercooler. Car was tuned in 2010 on stock cooler with a couple of other basic mods (intake, exhaust, injectors) when originally bought by first owner, and a turbosmart electronic boost controller was put in a couple of months ago. Just wondering if a retune will be required for the new cooler? And if so, how urgent is it?

Also, will it need to be completely reflashed or could a tuner just adjust for the cooler temps?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Welcome 

Cooler temps and lower boost for same power etc. you can putt around with it on but you'll need a tune for wot fun.  

Any reason for the aftermarket boost control?

no tune required that's urgent. you can putt around just fine.

 

you just will need touch up tune but id find a few other mods to do while your at it if you can make paying for the re tune worth while. 

 

but yer whats with the boost controller? unless you mean the E boost thingos?

Cheers guys.. not really much else to do to it at the moment, has aftermarket injectors, exhaust, intake. Much more and ill be maxing out stock turbo. Hoping to be at around 300-310kw once this is done. 

 

As for the controller, it is an e boost one. Apparently it was overboosting, I havnt had any issues since buying the car a few months ago.

dunno why it over boosting sounds like you need a new tuner then.

 

have you got a fuel pump?

 

e boost not really needed plenty of 10/9 second cars around without it

Yeah was all done before I bought the car.. no dramas since I've owned it so looking forward to a retune to get the most out of whats been done to it.

 

And yeah man it has a process west surge tank with a single bosch pump
