As per title,

Where is the best location for a trans cooler install on a fg xr6t? Looking to do this in the next week or two & in two minds over where it can be located.

Keeping in mind adequate flow to & from the transmission & cooler itself as I don't want the auto starving of fluid due to the distance the fluid has to travel. I've read a few guys squeezing them between the radiator & intercooler although I'm looking to be putting a bigger front mount on down the track so will this be an issue?

Behind the fog light seems another choice but I'm worried it won't flow enough air through it as I won't be running a fan setup

I did a bunch of R&D years ago and found beyond a doubt that behind the drivers fog light is perfectly fine location addressing all of your concerns

ive installed countless systems now with not a single issue or failed ZF yet , but this is with my method and installation

here's some of my recent ones

there more than secure with how and what I use to fix it

It looks sturdy. I said in another thread I'll be replicating your method. I understand from reading various threads that you run the lines in a manner that they still have some thermal exchange.

Do you find that the supplied amount of hose is enough for your method?

I don't buy a kit, I make a kit and no typical kits don't have correct brackets or hose length so it's pointless buying one imho

I'm getting a hayman Reese cooler with brackets etc and the push in fittings for the box plus lines for $150. If I need to do a trip to bunnings for some flat bar and ask the pirtek guy at work for extra hose I'm winning I reckon.

In a round about way you're answering the questions in my head. Thanks :respeckt:

I like the way you've set yours up Jet. Looks very clean, I haven't read your threads yet but in what manner do you run your lines? I've been told to run them in the most direct way possible
