Car went in for a tune this morning. Ended up changing tuner to Autotech as they are better located for me with work etc.

the car is over boosting soo bad. Spiro tried a few things and couldn't get it to stay at the 12pd actuator Spring level. Boosting up to high 20's before shutting it down quickly and getting it off the dyno.

anyway I left it with them to pull the turbo back off, check the actuator out and port the wastegate opening.

I know it's in good hands just wasn't ready for a budget blow out.

hardest part is now working out how to make mrs happy.

port/flapper job is one of the cheaper modifications :idunno:, it's also making sure your car is not going to blow the engine due to overboost, so it's actually making your car safer and more controllable :spoton:

Yeah on 98...turbo boosts well and holds 24psi all the way to redline but yeah couldn't get it to go any lower. The rear housing is the most likely cause at this stage.

The rain is a disappointment but yeah gave me time to think about it all and what's next. Absolutely blew my budget away so also going to have to work on that better for next time.

Hummm that's a tune to suit overboost still vs a tune for performance

hand in pocket time buddy as that's far from perfect situation
