Share Posted 10/07/16 10:56 AM Posted 10/07/16 10:56 AM Share I just bought a 2008 FG XR6T (yay) that features the luxury pack and tech pack. I'm trying to figure out if any safety options were ticked, such as side curtain airbags. How do I tell?
Share Posted 10/07/16 11:19 AM Posted 10/07/16 11:19 AM Share I dont know about the FG's but in my BF I have some tag on my seat indicating a side air bag, visible when I open door and look at the side of the seat. In your case, check this but also check all the pillars, there will be a logo somewhere probably.
Share Posted 10/07/16 09:52 PM Posted 10/07/16 09:52 PM Share Should be an Srs airbag logo embossed on the trim plastic to let you know not to obstruct it
Share Posted 10/07/16 10:41 PM Posted 10/07/16 10:41 PM Share You can email Ford your VIN to get a complete listing of factory options. I did it to ask what the police pack involved on my BFII.

Share Posted 12/07/16 04:30 AM (edited) Posted 12/07/16 04:30 AM Share The fact the site thinks FGs have a T56 is enough reason for me not to use or recommend it! And yeah high series brakes would be the bigger BF onwards ones they are just having a lendbut. Since it's ambiguous by not listing sizes it's not worth much. Share Posted 12/07/16 04:39 AM Posted 12/07/16 04:39 AM Share technically, FG's do have a T56... A TR6060 is colloquially known as a "T56 Magnum" which is a stronger gearset in the same configuration as a standard T56. Of course the shifter mechanism alignment between the B-series T56 and the F-Series TR6060 is 90-degree offset, but also the shifter mechanism portion of the driveline is irrelevant of the gearbox model naming

Share Posted 12/07/16 04:44 AM Posted 12/07/16 04:44 AM Share If we are really getting technical a TR6060 is the OEM fitment so FG's Have a TR6060 not a T56. A T56 Magnum is the aftermarket Version of the box which has the same shifter config as the previous Ford OEM and Aftermarket T56.
Share Posted 12/07/16 04:47 AM Posted 12/07/16 04:47 AM Share I have the Aeroflow short shifter for the FG fitted to my car, this should indicate that I have the TR6060? Fingers crossed. There use to be another website and I am pretty sure it was a ford one in Australia, where you could enter the vin number and it would show you what came from factory. I thought I had book marked it at some stage, but apparently not. That website showed all the correct info for me, but I can't find it now. Ahh well.
