The pcmtec logger needs a reasonable graphics solution but I'm not sure if a dedicated card is necessary. I know it runs fine on the missus laptop and they have them on sale now at harvey norman for $900. Just checked and the farkers have put them up to $1300 now. Still a good laptop though.
