So who is going to buy a RTX 3090 in a few weeks?
What absolute monster! As much as I want to upgrade straight away will probably grab the 3080 when im interested in a game that's actually going to use it. My 1070ti is still going awesome for the games im currently playing

That 3090 price point is just insanity. Would rather buy car parts!

Probably 3080 for Cyberpunk to replace the 1080s in my current set-up.

Hand down those to the machine running 980s

Sell the 980s

That was the case with the 20 series but not so much with the 30 series.

I own a GTX 1080ti so I'll use that as some kinda comparison. It cost me $1150 new.

So there's three new cards with a RRP of $809, $1139 and $2429 respectively.

There is the RTX 3070 which apparently is faster than a RTX 2080ti, which was already about 40% faster than a 1080ti.

There is a RTX 3080 which will be roughly just over double the performance of a GTX 1080ti.

There is the RTX 3090 which will be roughly triple the performance of a GTX 1080ti but obviously this card comes at a hefty premium.

You can't quite compare a GTX card to an RTX one but you can compare an apple to an orange if you want.

So yerp this is just a rough guide to the upcoming cards, so if ya let ya wives know now it'll be less of a shock when we all run out and buy one in a few weeks :roflmbo:

what will become of all the 1st gen RTX cards that are still in store

they will need to be dramatically discounted if any one will buy them

I see that PC case gear has dropped $400 off the 2080 ti over night but still selling between 1.6k -  2k

I really can't see us getting the 3080 for 1.1k

current pricing of the 2080 ti will have to drop by at least another 1k before it's even close to being competitive
