G'day to all.

Have managed to secure an XR6 Sprint and yes I had a choice and chose the 6 over the 8 because it is an Aussie engine, not an American engine tweaked to suit Aussie standards, not that I think there's anything wrong with the 8. It was a patriotic decision and I'm more than happy. I need help though. Have been out of the car scene for an eternity. Running it in to get the best out of it. The dealership will tell me one way but is it the best way???? Have heard run them in hard and they go hard, do this, do that, don't do this, don't do that etc etc etc. I'm all about getting the best out of the car, enjoying it but also looking after it and preserving it seeing as it is the last of a true Aussie icon. So seriously. What is the best way to run it in and get the best out of it?? Also one more thing. Car Clubs in W.A I could join. I'd like to be able to do track days where I can really enjoy it legally. lol and cruise events etc.

Thanks.

If you've Had it for a week and already put a few hundred kms in it, why don't you give it a squirt from 0 to 100 and time it, in the right place of course?  Even a 0 to' 60 time would also be useful to see how the launch control works and Also to work out the 60 to 100 overtaking split!

Cheers!  And congratulations on such a great car!

We run cruises in WA occasionally bud, so would be good to see the Sprint out and about. Just keep an eye out in the WA section of the forum. Congrats on securing the quickest stock Falcon ever.
