Yeah

So the missing kWh's and days appeared on the retailers website today. They are a day behind or something cos it isn't showing anything for yesterday yet.

I get 9 cents for buy back, I pay 27 cents for theirs

because I'm usually giving them much more than I use or buy,  I like to look at it this way

I now only pay 18 cents for their electricity

when I'm home during the day and the suns out, everything is free

having a battery is a whole different kettle of fish

the solar panels are wired to the battery

the house always draws from the battery

if you need more power than the battery has then you import off the grid

the battery system is way better cos if your battery meets your needs then it's F U to the power company

also  you can't use solar panels in a black out

they need power from the grid to run the inverter

battery system can be used in a blackout

finally someone gets it   ^^^^^ I think having power if theres a blackout is a big advantage having batteries! I like the " F U to power companies" bit heheh

as for the buy back I havent looked what the current rate is but it wasnt good.

im in a small 2 bedroom unit and will move in a few years so solar is not worth it, if it was a bigger family home id consider for long term.

Well the forecast was 19c and cloudy but we still made about 32kWh. There was a couple of breaks in the weather where the inverter was maxxed out, so that helped a bit.

Cos it was just me and the toddler at home, about 26 got sent back to the grid. We would have used a bit too when we cooked dinner.

Yeah it’s just loud AF and primitive as heck and doesn’t save you anything on your power bills.

Oh wait... soz you probably have a pre negotiated discount with AGL for paying in Gold bars upfront.

Tell that to my post hole digger. Went to dig holes on the weekend and apparently 12 month old 2 stroke is no good...

A fresh batch fixed it up though.
