Work paid me a bonus this year, so rather than waste it I've decided (given it's extra cash) to use it to bolt a whole bunch of solar panels to the roof of my house. Paid the deposit today and should, all things going to plan, be installed before I start my new job. Went with:

  • 22x Optimised Canadian Solar split cell PERC 300W panels
  • SolarEdge HD Wave 5kW inverter
  • SolarEdge Energy Meter

Nice won @.Stripes. I have just done the same but still waiting on power company to come out and do their bit to the meter.

23 panels 270W

5kw inverter

Mostly cloudy day here in Perth and when the sun poked its head out I was getting up around 5kW...which is pretty great, considering it's September and cloudy AF and raining. Rest of the day it's sat around 2-3kW or so.
