thanks for the links, however every TV that I have looked at, is a smart TV. none of them come without the additional :bs: applications.

I want a TV that comes without any applications. I use my HT pc for that.

Spoke with a HIFI place yesterday and he tried talking me into a projector. I said a projector is not for us plus Im not keen on them.

The bloke said if you use them everyday for TV, Gaming, Movies you'll get between 2.5 to 3 years from the projector before having to replacing the globe. A globe cost from $500 to $800. No thanks

Projector is an option, but as mentioned before, the cost of a replacement globe is not that attractive to me.

That NEC looks good. Now to see if I can track one down in Perth.
