Slowxr6t Member 516 Member For: 5y 4m 19d Location: New zealand Posted 11/01/19 09:14 AM Share Posted 11/01/19 09:14 AM I have a 2015 fg turbo, im thinking of putting a gt35r core and .70 compressor housing onto my stock turbine housing, I know it will need a new higher psi actuator and a bracket to mount the actuator on the bigger comp housing and ported wastegate hole and bigger wastegate door. What sort of gain and extra lag can I expect??? thanks guys

Then again you can get good gains from your stock turbo. It'll be at full boost around the 3 grand mark or a bit earlier. You'll need a turbo side intake, battery relocation and charge pipe upgrade to use the larger comp housing as it has a 4 inch intake and a 2.5 inch outlet on the compressor. Something something tb elbow. You'll want an injector and fuel pump upgrade too as these will max out before a stock turbo is maxed, let alone a modded one. You'll want a cat upgrade at a minimum but a turbo back exhaust is ideal. Imho it's a waste of money if you're paying to get it done unless you are getting a larger compressor wheel too, as the cost vs gain ratio, even with the slightly bigger turbo, isn't as good as paying the extra few hundred for a gtx or larger wheel. Without the aforementioned upgrades, you may as well keep the stock turbo and just get it tuned with injectors and fuel pump. Think about your end hp goal and what conditions the car will see and you should get some more specific advice from members. I heard that @JETURBO can juggle 3 of these cars in each hand with the lights out, while balancing on a fit ball. He'll look after ya

Lots to think about, might just get a pw stage1 cooler, and 15psi boost, injectors.
Slowxr6t Member 516 Member For: 5y 4m 19d Location: New zealand Posted 11/01/19 07:39 PM Share Posted 11/01/19 07:39 PM How much power can be made on stock injectors? And then with upgraded injectors how much power can be made on stock pump? Are stock fg injectors 440cc? What's the next logical step up in inj size, 1000cc to future proof? Do 1000s run nice like stock if tuned well? Or should I go smaller like 850cc or something?

Yes, the 1000cc ones can run as nice as stock. You can go with whatever your tuner prefers to tune and your budget allows and your power goals are.

Frig all. Jet answered this a few days ago but I can't remember what he said. 11 hours ago, Slowxr6t said: And then with upgraded injectors how much power can be made on stock pump? Fark knows. Just under 300rwkw. 11 hours ago, Slowxr6t said: Are stock fg injectors 440cc? Dunno. 11 hours ago, Slowxr6t said: What's the next logical step up in inj size, 1000cc to future proof? It depends on your goals. 1000cc will take care of 99% of people I reckon. 11 hours ago, Slowxr6t said: Do 1000s run nice like stock if tuned well? Yes. 11 hours ago, Slowxr6t said: Or should I go smaller like 850cc or something? It depends on your goals and what your tuner can work with. You might be better off to have a power figure in mind and then work out what parts you need afterward.
