Hi Guys

I'm doing my research into having a bf f6 engine dropped into my Ba xr6. What I'm hoping you wise folk can help out with is am I going to have problems when it comes to the ba having a 4 speed auto where the bf has the 6 speed? From my guessing it would all bolt up but not sure if I'd have issues when it comes to the ecu?

Any wisdom on the subject would be great thanks

Wont be an Issue Install the long motor and reuse the BA PCM to run the motor and trans.

BF Cams are different so it would pay to have your tuner touch up the airflow tables in the tune but that's not a show stopper.

It's a bolt up affair, but you will need to reuse the BA engine loom ( you can retain the BF sensor tho all bar the 2nd knock sensor) You'll loose the independent variable cam control the BF has as the BA Pcm cannot support it but apart from that physically the motors are essentially the same,
