I've just installed a super duper clutch in a motorbike and I need to set a specific airgap (around 0.050" as part of a baseline tuneup) for it to operate correctly.

To do this, I need to install shims in the back of the inner hub.

I'm trying to contact the manufacturer of the clutch in the US to get a shim kit but I need a plan B because he can be slooow.

The shims I'll need will be circular and around 40mm ID and 60mm OD (have to dissasemble again to measure).

I need shims of 0.001", 0.005", 0.010", 0.020", 0.040" for ongoing adjustment as the clutch pack wears.

Is there anyone that stamps out shims to whatever size and thickness you want?

I only need a few of each.

I want these to be exact as the clutch will reach 12000rpm so dont want to just cut them with scissors or punch them.

Pics of clutch purely because its so fuken sexy....

No answer sorry, but yeah, had to comment because - that is f*cking sexy.

Quick google gives a few suppliers in Oz, but you'd probably need a contact for a one off?

Wow, close to home too !

Thanks Luke.

Will give the manufacturer a few more prods, if they don't come through, I'll contact the laser cutters.
