Hi I have a 07 xr6 N/A Ute and am wanting to put a ZF 6 speed in it, just wondering if anyone has done the conversion before and how hard it is and what I would have to do/how much it would cost. I have heard that its fairly difficult on the BA's can't find anything about the BF's though, cheers in advance.

I'm guessing then that BF II utes didn't have the 6 speed as standard?

Either way with the price, headaches and teething problems you would have trying to get it to work it'd be easier and cheaper to sell it and get the turbo ute with the ZF

Its been done once to a ba afaik and there is a rather long interesting thread about it somewhere. Long story short a written off donor car is required (individually sourced parts can also work but you will need fords help to get it going) and if your not up to the task yourself expect to pay big bucks if you can find anybody to do it.

I have thought about a manual conversion, but thought it been an auto putting a 6 speed auto box in it would be easier and cheaper obviously I was wrong?
