We will see how it goes as it is. Its fine with the 0.5 cover, no surge, hits the limiter a bit better now I think and it seems like a better compressor to drive with in my setup having no BOV. Not as harsh when you let go of the throttle at small throttle angles

Hey turbotrana I know your not a begginer and I hope it goes well,But I wouldn't dream of doing what You did, just by simply having the nut on in a differant position can throw off the balance and that's amplified at 115,000rpm,balancing is the only way to go,I would hate hear that something disintegrated due to a simple balance :)

turbo still works.

wouldn't any sorta balance issue have the thing self destructing like as soon as you come on boost??

No, its depends on the degree of out of balance. What it could do is initiate fatigue cracking.
