Kinda what I was thinking too.

sh*t part is it's not a str8 swap I would have to modify it a bit.

Probly would have to pull the turbo out at wk n do it all there.

Took the turbo off and had a look and all was fine, we cleaned up the port job and put a new flapper in but still overboosted.

I'm doubting your port job is the problem, as you say it only fully opens at 36psi, I'm thinking a different type of actuator may fix the problem.

When I build the motor we'll take another look, for now it's fine on e-flex, would like it a bit lower but 20psi is ok.

Standard turbo was 26 tapperring back to 19.

Yeh the more I think about it, it points to the actuator.

I thought I had a spare 12lb I could play with but my bro lost it kn'fuq!! Lol

Just played around with a standard bf actuator and found it begins to crack at about 5-6 lb and is fully open by 10lb so that's 4lb added pres.to fully open.

The presicion actuator begins to crack at 11-12lb and is fully open at 36lb, that's 24lb added pres. To fully open.

Modded Garrett 12lb fits too :)

Bit of mucking around but actually allot easier than I thought.

Now with the front cover hosed straight to the actuator I have 13lb at 3500 rather than 22lb.

With no preload only enough preload to not spin the gate and adding 15lb, this was how much it was opening before uny3ere4.jpgn

Now with a bit over half a hole preload (10psi) the garret open this far with 15lb added 8evagy2u.jpg

Yep, Brett (CANFRY)'s dad has one on his F6

Made 495 on United E85 and went 10.2 @ 137

Seems to be a good turbo and they now make a complete bolt on turbo, no mods needed (except for blocking the water line as this turbo is air cooled only)

Was his a bolt-on version or high mount with ext gate?

Thought it would make well into the 500s on e85.

Is the fact that it is not water cooled a biggie or not? In terms of reliability
