Ba 04 Traction Control

Hey people,just brought a immaculate 04 BA xr6t with 85,000 on the clock one elderly lady owner for 10 grand.whats the deal with the traction control? I press the button and it doesn't seem to turn it off.seems to do nothing,can anyone shed some light on this situation? And did I get a good deal?

That's what I mean bro.the light only briefly comes on when I turn the ignition on.I press the button whilst the cars on and no light happens or nothing.its like its locked on and the buttons just there as a piss take??

Since you're playing with traction control, I would suggest an automatic transmission flush and a external cooler fitted.

They don't seem to like heat these transmissions.

See if you get wheelspin when you turn T/C off (regardless of the status of the light), on a private property of course. No members here do burnouts or anything stupid on public roads...

on by ba you only have to press the button once and the light on the dash comes on and no more TC. you might have to get it checked by ford to see whats going on
