I hope we only get the V8 as they say. A four cylinder Mustang would be gayer that a handbag full of rainbows.

Hrmmmmmm.....

You'll only find me in a Super Snake

It will sell and I guarantee you people will buy it. Especially the modifying type of car enthusiast. I'll be buying one and I'll be modding it for sure and I'll more than likely see most of you on here with one... You sceptics and haters won't be able to help yourself.

So what about the tuners and dyno shops and performance parts specialists and the rest. Out of business, close the doors. I doubt it. Guaranteed they will be planning to move into the new mustang game. Even if it is a small market. It will grow. Just like the xr6 turbo. I remember when that was only going to be a small market.

Average Blo joe won't buy it as it's a 2 door... Average Blo joe bought the XR/FPV... Because it was a fast 4 door family car...it be lucky to sell 50 a month... And that's tops...

Also you make it sound like once the Mustang is out the XR/FPV will stop being tuned by people who own them.. Plus tuning shops just don't make a income doing tunes... They do also service and maintain cars for people you know...

And who the dark is going to spend $45k on a ENTRY level 4cyl Mustang?

3 kids across the back seat of a stang and do 5000klm road trip doesn't sound great. This is where the falcon excelled. Grunt of a muscle car and space of a big tourer

Oh I agree completely there, definitely no replacing the falcon in that regards. It was good at satisfying the need for those that couldn't afford a car for everyday use and one for the track/strip. I guess it sucks for those that fall into that category for the future of buying new cars, coz let's face it we all love the new car feel and the excitement you get from it. People will get bored with what's out here now when the power levels and performance levels are superseded by new technology.

As for the tuners/performance workshops servicing is a very big part of their income if not the greater percentage of it, I didn't disregard them in that sense. But they will want to grow and progress with whatever is out there. I certainly wouldn't want all my eggs in one basket.

Haha Pazzo, it's funny you say that with a ute in your signature. Irony FTW

Yep, My liking of Fords ends with the FG. Shame to the Mustang name for Ford to release this crap looking car.

if you don't like it don't buy it simple. but to say pretty will Fark em. so I guess when the mustang or the Taurus is in the v8's your going to support the opposite team

^^^^ I agree with this guy! Just because people don't like it doesn't mean it's sh!t or isn't going to sell. They're just going to appeal to a niche. I love ford and always have so. Yeah there's models I don't particularly like doesn't mean I HATE ford now. Good riddance to those that would betray.

It seems like there is enough room to put two turbos in the engine bay and a comfy place for the intercooler

http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/tech/mmfp_1301_ford_mustang_hellion_eliminator_twin_turbo_kit_install/photo_01.html

My next step is V8 twin turbo so a second hand Mustang down the road would certainly be a consideration. Its not the best looking car but it will be relatively cheap and do the job.

my old man will be getting to 2 litre ecoboost mustang as he doesnt want a v8 and looks like they wont bring a v6 varient to australia, I hope all models kick off so atleast then u might be able to take the 2 litre to the shop and there will be plenty of aftermarket parts to put on it for extra killer wasps

Thinking about it - how huge will the special parts bin be compared to what we have with the Falcons now?

Full marks for all the work that's done on the current line up we have, but there's sure to be so much more to choose from when we can dip into all the work that's done hotting up the Mustangs in the US.

it will sell- that pic above is hot as. if you dont like them then that's fine- me and a few others will have a sweet car on the road that's not the same as 10 others on the block.

That does look awesome but the best thing and one of the reasons I got a falcon is cos it's so massive and spacious it's great for families and quick also. I'd never buy a 2 door, not at this stage in life anyway.

Cant agree more with statement above. When you have two kids in the house under 5, you will understand.

Even though I would not mind having one of them in my carage, I doubt I will have one until I am 65
