Hey all,

I own a 2010 FG XR6T, recently the battery died so I replaced it. Now my car wont start when I turn the ignition over nothing happens at all! The new battery is fine all fuses seem fine, I got a scan tool and ran it through the car, the car showed up with 20 fault codes after documenting each code we cleared them but 4 still remain.

U1900

P1000

U1055

U1066

Can someone please help me or show me a solution!

P1000 Check of all OBDII Systems Not Complete

U1900 CAN Communication Bus Fault

U1066 SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Primary Id $42

U1055 SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Primary Id $37

Can bus communication errors might be your issue. Hopefully someone with more of an idea here can chime in with an answer. I remember someone having an issue here before when changing the battery. There is a procedure to go through to fix any immobiliser issues.

Almost like the ECU had a little fry up. Did you try charging, jump starting or anything while the old bad battery was in the car?

It may not be ECU but replacing a battery is pretty easy and normally not an issue.

My dad had an au series 3 futura and one day and when the battery died the ecu forgot all his keys and wouldn't start at all

He got it towed to ford and knew exactly what had happened and fixed the ecu on the spot, they were certain that the low voltage from the old battery caused the problem

Call up ford and see what they think

I tried jump starting the car with the old battery still in

I live about 500kms from the closest ford dealer. im onto ford now as the car is still under new car warranty but its not really going anywhere whether they believe its a warranty or not job

THere should be a rule.

If you post up seeking advice from this forum, then at the very least you should have the manners to post up the solution to the problem sometime down the track (if we couldn't solve it).
