Doesnt look good.

If Marqez doesnt crash he WILL be on the podium.

I think Rossi needs to retire. He is my favorite rider but he has lost the edge//////

Unfortunately the edge is .300 seconds. Rossi has lost the edge.   The same came to me in 2002. I was invinsiable.  I used to right flat out 300+   Then one ride I thought about the consensuses. To late then all over , No more fast riding. Just do wheel stands and s stoppies now.

It used to be, oil ok OK, tyres 30 and 34 Check. Enough fuel to where I am going. Check. Steering damper wound full on Check.  Wait for 50% of  the boys to go. Then carve the pack and see how long I can beat the second guy to the destination.           97 - 03. Those days were EPIC.............................

I was so stupid. I had no fear. I would wheelie past guys in 5th gear at over 240kph. I think back now I was mental.  But it bought all the racer boys to my motorcycle shop, for hot ups tyres, tune ups, new exhaust.  Ha those were the days and I am still alive.

sounds all to familiar (apart from the bike shop)

I used to ride with some boys, called ourselves the breakfast club

we would run up the coast road to Port Douglas for bacon eggs and coffee early most weekends trying to avoid the traffic that would ensue after about 8 am

on the way back an hour or so later,  we would inevitably upset other motorists by treating them as mobile chicanes

even made it into the local rag (The Cairns Post) much to our amusement

I thought I was invincible as well,  that came to a screaming halt when a close friend died in a motorcycle crash doing stupid sh#t

we used to treat the roads like a race track

not any more, for me those days are over

a good friend gave me this poem for a birthday

I don't know if she penned it herself, but it really sums up my attitude to riding back then

I still get a thrill from riding a motorcycle, and there is nothing like a good set of twisties for a shot of adrenaline

it's just not at warp factor 10 anymore

:thumbs-up:

GP this weekend. Mark should try on saturday. If he races he should just ride for some points. If he bends the plate it will be bad.

Found this photo of my meanstreak just before I started to modify it.
