Noice 👍 Fast taxis are fun, but there's nothing like a higher end euro car. At some point the old bones need some speed AND comfort.

It's scary to drop 100k+ on a daily, but hey you only live once. I dont have any regrets after 4 months in the Audi. And the effortless lazy torque of a multi turbo V8....🤤

Any updates? Has the car arrived yet?

 

Got launch controlled nailed in mine, totally destroyed an EVO 8 last night, bloke had no idea what he ran against when we caught up for a chat later on. VF V8's are my favourite to hunt down and waste! Will have to find somewhere to program the M5 Comp tune in the M550i.

Ha Yes indeed it has arrived !

Got the new bus on Thursday knocked out ID inspection, plate change,stamp duty and registration for the year which took a cool $6000 to complete ( Thanks Government )

 

Have already done over 500kms with a cracker trip down the south coast and It’s a hell of a machine and almost impossible to really describe what refined German engineering is like without actually driving one but I’ll give it a go ;) 

 

Firstly it’s fast, effortlessly fast and super tight in every aspect which is awesome from a full weight sedan. The turbo spool rate would be better than a stage 3 package FG ZF with the 76 on board still as it’s instantly on from take off even without launching it !

 

The ZF 8 speed is incredible to say the least, in comfort mode Silky smooth and in Sport & Sport + Firm like a shift kit set up with a nice “Crack” from torque management on up shifts. $1- $2 is insanely fast and has to be in the sub 6 second zone from feel. 
 

Brakes are brutal yet consistent and wipe speed off with confidence and matched up with the ZF downshifting it’s killer 

 

The sound is one of my favourite parts as the Bi-Modal set up from comfort to Sport is perfect and crackle and pops from factory is a cool little thing to have ;) 

 

Got tuning lined up already with a mate @ “Cade Tech” in SA having the hardware and software available and M5 tunes and custom ability set to go. Just need to decide if I want to go rear muffler delete and flame option or not haha 😂 

 

This matched with RK-TUNES intakes lifts HP by 160hp and 150wtq and goes from a factory 11.6-11.8 1/4 mile car into 10.7-10.9 car on 98 so it’s kind of exciting really 

 

All said and done I’m wrapped with the car, the tech, the refined speed and brutal acceleration and I can see why and how these things leave most things in the rear view on the street especially with roll on’s as the ZF8 can take kick downs all day long and fast kick downs too. Absolutely love the car and it’s function is beautiful for a daily driver.
