In the spirit of this thread:

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/82101-the-great-rear-camber-adjustment-thread/page-2?hl=%2Bcamber#entry1338214

and following from this thread:

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83368-ceramic-coating-turbo/#entry1343026

I would like to gather some data around turbo charge failures with the 4l ford motor.

Similar lay out to the camber thread but with a little more detail

Model/s

Year

BOV fitted Yes/No

BOV Type (Factory/Factory Vented to Atmo/After Market Plumb Back/After Market Vented)

KM's on Turbo @ failure or current KM's if the turbo hasn't failed

Intake mods (ie UBP/Intercooler/pipework)

Average boost pressure over the life of the turbo

Type of failure (ie noisey bearing with no comp wheel damage, comp wheel damage but no bearing noise, bearing noise.failure and comp wheel damage or shaft failure)

Lets see what sort of picture this paint and how it plays out with common conceptions and opinions.

Please keep the chit chat out of this thread and reply as per the format in my next post.

KGO!

Should there be a category 'with inline filter' 'without inline filter' or is that the point of the thread?

stock roughly for first 80,000km. But before I bought it, put a boost gauge in and it was running over 22psi, quickly changed that to 15psi and the turbo failed shortly after. Since new turbo, 18PSI. No damage to new one (cross fingers).
