Ciaran = wrong this time No real proof mate, but 06/06 was the date. Some get different brakes from factory so not even bunny or bionic could say that every engine after this number has better rods. B

Wow we need some serious proof about the BF engine. So many different stories.

The BF's are the same from what I've been told, it's the change from BA - BF where things had changed.

The vin sticker is inside the drivers door not the engine bay.

Front bar is different

side skirts are different.

I think the bonnet was slightly changed on the mk2.

This is a BF 2.5, also called "BFII update".  Wheels have gray painted recesses and the grey bodykit spears were added.

This is a BF or a BF2 - no way to tell from the body kit, they are identical outside.  Also they came with 17" rims standard as pictured (3 dimples on the end of each fat spoke), 18's were always an optional extra.  Only FPVs got 18's minimum.

If yours is 2007 it's definitely a BF II, not a BA II. People have covered most of the differences. Also colour can be a dead give away if you know your colours well enough.

I think his knowledge of falcon colour codes is nil. He doesn't even know what his car is. :panda:

sorry @BAXRTUTE ...p.s. hope ya ute is running sweet.

that's the best feature of the BA that they never continued... inspection hole!

Utes running pretty well atm, wound up the boost a touch from 2psi to 6 and can kinda skid the tyres but still got a 4800 cut out.

take the head off and inspect the pistons...

or just check the engine number haha

although I'm pretty sure all Barra's with the smaller oil filter are the better motors (Z256 (or whatever the number is) instead of a Z9).
