Difference Between Bf And Ba

The BF has a different front bumper. There are fins near the spot lights. The interior inserts are grey not black. it will have 18" rims.

The vin sticker is inside the drivers door not the engine bay. 

Front bar is different 

side skirts are different.

I think the bonnet was slightly changed on the mk2.

Different rims maybe interior trim and different gearbox for the manual.

Personally they look sh*t so I never took any notice of them.

rear tail-lights are different - BA is "lines" and the BF is "shapes".

This is a BF 2.5, also called "BFII update".  Wheels have gray painted recesses and the grey bodykit spears were added.

 

 

 

 

 

This is a BF or a BF2 - no way to tell from the body kit, they are identical outside.  Also they came with 17" rims standard as pictured (3 dimples on the end of each fat spoke), 18's were always an optional extra.  Only FPVs got 18's minimum.

If yours is 2007 it's definitely a BF II, not a BA II. People have covered most of the differences. Also colour can be a dead give away if you know your colours well enough.

that's the best feature of the BA that they never continued... inspection hole!

Utes running pretty well atm, wound up the boost a touch from 2psi to 6 and can kinda skid the tyres but still got a 4800 cut out.

I have a ba with apparently a bf engine how do I confirm with out checking engine number?

take the head off and inspect the pistons...

or just check the engine number haha

although I'm pretty sure all Barra's with the smaller oil filter are the better motors (Z256 (or whatever the number is) instead of a Z9).
