Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum and if there is anyone to answer my question they have got to be on here..

I've got a BA XR6T which is currently running a standard exhaust with a high flow cat and I want to get a new system. Currently the car is making 300rwkw at 12psi and 361rwkw at 19psi. My goal is to eventually take it over the 400rwkw and my next mod is the exhaust. I have read multiple posts on here and other sites as well as nizpro, capa & smd.

I think I am leaning towards the 4" by nizpro but when I told my local exhaust guy he told me its going to be hard to fit 4" under a sedan.. if it were a ute no problems... but a sedan its going to be to tight and may rattle and rub against the body. Can someone please tell me if they have a 4" under a sedan and if there is any problems, or any modification at all to fit.

I'm totally up for suggestions and recommendations aswell. Thanks in advance!

Cheers

Rhys

The Nizpro one fits but is apparently a nightmare to get on and right.

Manta make a twin 3" catback.

But a single 3 1/2 will do the job too.

Ive got a 4'' nizpro on mine, fits like a glove. Yeah its close in some spots but ive never had it touch the chassis or the body. all depends on who fits it, if you take your time and make sure its perfect in all spots you'll be sweet. From side on you can hardly even see the exhaust hanging down

Every Nizpro 4" exhaust is trial fitted to a vehicle prior to shipment to ensure correct fitment :-)

Its not a simple case of pipe diameter, the muffler designs play a huge part in how well an exhaust performs

Will there be a big power gain from a 4" dump and 3.5" system to a complete 4" system? Bare in mind 400rwkw will be where I stop. My better half with kill me if I spend loads of money on this car as well as my Turbo 1980 MKII Escort lol.

go the 4" mate... wish I did though im currently running 2x2.5s mandrel bent.

if you live in Sydney go to Windsor Exhaust in Richmond and tell him you want a good job.. that's exactly what you'll get and his pricing is fair too.

The twin versus single debate - always a good one - but it is the mufflers that will determine this. I tested the rear manta twin 63 muffler as best as I could. The equipment was not too charming but the back pressure is very low ( below 2 psi) up to 12 PSI through the turbo for 360 HP at the wheels. I could not set up the test gear on the middle muffler. As a throw away...... I'd reckon a single 90 and a twin 63 would make close to the same power IF they both measure the same noise attenuation at the rear. I wish I could prove it - but cannot.
