david reynolds and dean canto's bottle'o car has been entered with number 52d instead of its normal number 55

52d was the number of the 1967 winner harry firth and fred gibson XR GT FALCON .

so I would say the bottle'o car will be painted retro style like this

That's awesome!

I really hope more ford teams & Expensive Daewoo jump on the bandwagon. Would be great to see majority of the field punting around in retro jobs!!

It's a shame shell pulled the pin on djr, would be cool to we one have the Sierra red job & the other with the blue and yellow ea one!

Just did a quick look on team Vodafones website and it seems as though they are getting a retro job too.

What an awesome way to celebrate 50 years of this magnificent race!! Good on Expensive Daewoo and ford!!

Although its gonna be a bit of "who's that again" for a while....

Apparently it's the sponsors that aren't letting them.

Djr wanted to do the jim beam car but they wouldn't let them.

And really, look at the press the cars that have changed are getting, I would think that works well for the sponsors!!
