Yeah can't say a bad word against him. Always manages to find time to help me out with the little things

Sent the car back to Jamie this arvo. Went for another couple of runs in the cooler weather. Came out with just a touch under 380rwkw, made heaps more top end power apparently, a much nicer power curve from 2000rpm and the bad. . . It's not holding boost like it did the other week. Down to a few things but I'd say a GTX35/82r is coming from santa this christmas :D

Thanks very much for your persistence and quality work FPT!

I was there the otherday when it was being run, I didn't put two & two together lol. Sounded strong on the dyno considering the turbo has probably seen better days. Once ya go a gtx & e85 the sky will be ya limit.

That shift alarm in your video.. Where did you get that blum3.gif

That's from the FPV cluster I put in. I sent it to a bloke down in Vic that added some cool stuff to it.

yeah a bit bummed about the turbo, it hadn't had a hard time at all in it's life. A GTX is on the cards over xmas providing theres time to fit and tune.

As wicked as that sounds hahaha, I'm not sure how far it could go before strengthening the engine and I'm not willing to throw the $$$ at it

The Left screen tells me what gear I'm in too, manual :D

shows 5th but 6th also shows as 5 :/ I'm sure a value could be changed to show a 6

So before christmas I fitted up the GTX35. Didn;t know I had to pre-load the actuator (doh!) so after getting it retuned wouldn't come on boost until 4250rpm,

and didn't want to go much past 15psi. So today me and my old man pulled the turbo back off and re-adjusted it. The ute goes back into FPT tomorrow morning for

it's treatment and hopefully get me into the 400+ club :D

What! hahaha. Yeah I was told. I didn't get a new bracket with the GTX so we modified the existing one to fit and that's made it a bit difficult to do on car.

Fair enough, its a bit hit and miss doing it on the car but it can be done.

All you need to do is remove the two actuator mounting locknuts and crack the rod locknut, hook up and air supply to the actuator and pressurize it so it fully extends, the you can loose or tighten it as you need to.

Would be hard to do with a .07 cover tho!

well it's all back together :/

Hey Ralph. The whole actuator arm and stuff is a DIY job. because I never got a new bracket to fit the .70 cover we

had to jig it around. It has enough pre-load now (I think) :D but your right, defo need petite lady hands to work on the thing now! haha

Ended up making a bit of exhaust to replace the CAT for "track days". The ute feels really good :)

Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow!

414rwkw @ 19psi :D
