Edit: also cruise control on the steering wheel!!! FTMFW!!!!! If that's any consideration the cruise control on the SS is stupid!!!!

So damn true! Expensive Daewoo cruise control is pathetic.

Drive and work on both at work,

INTERIOR: FG is nicer apart from the arm rest on doors, the SS feels cheap inside.

SEATS: FG is nicer. Haven't seen the leather ones though.

LOOKS: mmmm I hate to say it but the SS does look slightly better than the FG IMO

POWER: FG feels faster but SS has slightly more go off the line.

EASE TO WORK ON: probably the I6t only because I own one and am used to it.

RELIABILITY: I've noticed the Expensive Daewoo motors are very anal about which oil you use. Had a couple in for rebuilds...

DRIVEABILITY: SS feels nicer on road and seems to hold traction better

On a side note. Holdens beep at you way to f*cking much. I feel like knifing out the speaker every time I hop in one

That's all in stock form though and all just what I believe, completely open for debate.

Yes to the question above...but not as many nm of torque :D

I had an 06 Bogan special and am now waiting on delivery of a mk2 xr6t. I drove a mates mk2 and would definitely recommend over the ss. Interior, looks and performance....everything is better than the ss IMO

I lined a guy up with an auto with Catbacks and mafless in an auto, in my tune/ injectors/cat manual, did a 12.9@111 next to a 13.8@ I think 103? Wasn't a high mph

I read on a Expensive Daewoo forum a little while ago, a post by a car tester, and he rated the FG XR6T a better car than the VE 6.2 L GTS. He copped a bit of flack over it. All they could say was that the turbo's wear out after 100,000k's.

Cheers

The only real downside to buying an FG XR6T would be replacing your diff bush every 5km or so..

Other then that they really aren't too expensive to service..

And Henz 103 mph seems about right for a stock VE.. Tune, zorst and OTR will push em up to 108-110.. However they'd still be lucky to get into 12's at that mph.. Low 13's max.
