Just completed and passed a certificate 4 in “Electrical installations in hazardous areas” HV/LV/ELV and certification of existing hazardous areas with the pathway to Diploma well and truly started

Watching someone slide a turbo falcon correctly   5/7 Would Bang !

clicked over the "4"s today (not that it makes me happy) but I bought this car with 40k on the clock 5 years ago It hasn't missed a beat I have serviced it every 7.5k without fail, so that p

So I had used PCMTec to confirm my FG was tuned, but had no idea where it was tuned or what power it made.

One of the kids pulls a piece of paper out of a map pocket today. "What's this daddy?"

That is a dyno graph.

So now I know 312kw and tuned by Pulse Racing in Sydney. Sounds like they have a good reputation, but only found one car on here tuned by them. At least I can give them a call and find out what else has been done that I can't see so I know what to plan for - pump, valve springs, etc.

I'm going to have a fun night! Time to start my electrical work.

Probably won't drop it all in until warranty is over in a few weeks. Plan is to have a single Deutch connector at the firewall which handles everything. Am wiring oil pressure gauge, boost gauge, wideband, extra USB power for dashcam, thermo switch and fan for trans cooler (plus a light in the cabin to indicate fan status).0f1c2a22e41e4f59e9192abdf3d6ea00.jpg

Stock 3582. Stock motor apart from valve springs. Full fuel system with turboside, Plaz plenum and cooler.
400+ on e85 and im happy. He said it'll go 430ish before it runs out of surge pump (044). He was happy to take it to 450+ if I had an extra pump.
My normal tyres are 275 nt05's so they are fine on the street. They just have trouble on the dyno hence the skid rims on.

What turbo etc are you running? What power goals are you looking for? Either way a set of 235's aren't going to hook up very well at legal speeds.
235s are ok if the compound is good. I broke my tailshaft with 235 ar1s

B series or F?

I've used the ns2r in a 255 17 with a 120 compound and it still spun in second with an 18psi 98 tune.

275 radial slicks spun on the road in 3rd with an e85 tune.

I spose every car is a bit different.

Get him to throw in a singe pierberg before tuning.  044 junk and crap on E85.

Is your 044 on  relay with power from the battery.   If not after volt drop you may have issues when the electrical system is under load.   Maybe appear OK on the dyno.

The 044 and the intank 460 are on there own relays in the tray so they are getting the full 14.7 volts ish.
The surge is fed by the 460 so a bit of back pressure in the surge will help the 044 along. I will be upgrading the pump eventually with something better and quieter but it'll do the job for now

Fg. It was on the strip with freshly prepped track and very warm tyres. They still spin on street surfaces without a burn out yeh but so does everything I've used.

Getting home to my own house, bed and dog :)  Taxi driver running over a dog on the way to the airport in Bali this morning definitely made me feel less good though... :tear2:

There's so many dogs running loose over there hey - they cruise the streets in packs. The driver had tried to avoid them all, then this little one just walked straight out in front of the tyre.

Wmmfgt?!

I suggested that we have chicken parmy for dinner tonight and so I got the chicken out of the freezer yesterday.

The missus made it up and she smashed it out of the park. She reckoned she fluked it but it was damn good. :happyfriends:
