Got my Fritzbox, got me NBN connection, got it all plugged in and tried connecting....blink blink blink all green.... :wild: ....no friggin connection until they get the sms from the tech to say its connected....

...by end of business day my ass, gimme the big fat pipe now ya fckers!!! :rant2: :rant2: :rant2:

Found that --- ummmm --- sharing (that'll do) works better with 3389 opened in router and comp Dags as internode block some ports....that port is an open Cisco port

Same thing happened to me Dags... NBN through a crappy ISP is also just as un-reliable as you could imagine, even through my Billion router (which of course handles it like a boss).

Edit: cant go wrong with Internode they rock been with them for over 10 years, best customer service of ANY company I've had dealings with.

Edit2: except new NBN connections..... :rant2:

Yeah, Just went for cheap and nasty just to test them out for a year (cheapest). Will probably switch and pay a little more when this contract is up at the 12 month mark.

Internode can suck my left nut, all they do is bandwidth whore ADSL DSLAM they are wholesale'ing.

Trivia - 3389 is default Remote Desktop Protocol on Windows - ie run mstsc and type in your current global IP -> modem forwards ports internally - > dial in to the PC as if you are sitting in front of it (need to have password on the desired user account first).
