What Did You Do To Your Car Today?

Recommended Posts

considering I've taken more than 1 passenger at a time a grand total of 5 times in the entire time I've owned the car, I'm not too worried, besides there is actually plenty of room. Also this is not a permanent thing it's just to meet regs of cams until I can get a better front of seat mount sorted out

I had one kicking about in my car at powercruise. The passengers would hold it and were in charge if something went wrong.

It's as if your reduction of mods has made you an angry old man freaky.

He only just found out he's allowed a baby/booster seat in the ute - he's getting pedantic

If you poke him, @Bizkets is Drunk? might appear.

had to buy another Odyssey yellow top battery cause mine died. I guess having the car sit in the garage for 5 years will do that....

Went out to fit new spark plugs. Ended up fixing my wideband, installing injectors, replacing the fuel pressure regulator and cleaning the throttle body. No spark plugs fitted. I'll do that tomorrow and flash in the tune for the injectors.

I thought my wideband sensor was dead. Plugged in a new one and no luck. Turned out it was a bad crimp connector. Resoldered all the wiring and it is all good. Spare new sensor now I suppose.

For what it is worth, AEM confirmed for me that the Bosch 17025 LSU 4.9 sensor and the AEM-branded LSU 4.9 sensor are samesies. Just buying the Bosch is about half the cost, so might help someone else sometime knowing that. I suspect it is the same for Innovate, etc too. Given my sensor has been driven around for a couple of weeks unheated, I suspect I'll need the new one sooner rather than later.

Might have to update the other forum ay?!

What injectors did you install?

Yeah I should as my suspected cause there ain't the cause. Went F6 injectors (reconditioned, bought from Pitlane). Tune in the car must be maxing the living sh*te out of the stock injectors so this will give me a bit more of a safety margin. I'll then tweak the tune for a bit more, do the pump and probably run it up on the dyno somewhere with knock ears etc to make sure I've ended up with something safe.

I'm currently getting my long term trims pulling fuel (and have a new O2 sensor) so chucked the FPR in for good measure.

Keef, Puff is talking 'bout PCMTEC forum.

Edit: whoops post cross over

Gave it a service, engine oil, filter, gearbox oil, diff oil, coolant flush, cleaned the turbo oil filter screen and air filter, new plugs, bled the brakes and clutch as well.

Also changed the o ring at the back of the water pump.

Went to 0.8mm from 0.6 mm plugs, much nicer down low and doesn't seem to be having issues on boost yet so happy days.

Oh and put a new tremec shift knob on, the Hurst one had the white paint rub out over time, might fix it up one day.
