Yeah and it's a fairly cold night too.

 

I love the way it sounds now. I've only gone for a quick drive but the whistle is much better than the stock turbo noise.

It's the short pipework from turbo to throttle body that makes it spool earlier with less lag 

 

You will loose some of that with front mount.

That has something to do with it. I think the cold air helped a lot tonight. 

 

Not going front mount for now, as there are way too many hoses on the turbo side, and don't want to go under the car with the pipes. 

 

Wta seems to be the go, but the wintery air will be a fine bandaid for a while.

Haha cold air for the win. Most mornings here at the moment are 2 or 3 degrees when I leave for work. Get a long, uphill onramp onto a highway during the commute. Turbo is cramming air down the engine's throat with intake air temps reading well and truly in the single digits.

Speaking of yikes, I got a wideband onto it today and it was out of pump. Turned it down to 13psi and it was still out of pump.

 

Have arranged for a pump upgrade next week so no high rpm wot until then.
